Katherine G. Kinnamon was born in Texas and raised in California.  She has two daughters and lives in St. Louis.  She recently returned from New York City, where she served as an associate pastor at Park Avenue Christian Church.

She has served in the ministry for 31 years. She grew up in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), attended DeAnza Community College, San Jose State University in California and the University of Chicago, where she received her M.Div. and M.A. degrees.  She was ordained in 1980.

Jack Hamill ~ Director of Music

Jack Hamill is a native of St. Louis. He began taking piano lesson in third grade. During his freshman year at Christian Brothers High School he began his studies on the organ with Stephen McKersie at Second Presbyterian Church in St. Louis. He continued his music career at UMSL taking organ lessons from Ronald Arnatt, organist at Christ Church Cathedral, St. Louis and the director of the Bach Society.  After two years he transferred to the St. Louis Conservatory of Music (CASA) where he studied with Kathleen Thomerson of SIU Edwardsville.  After receiving an undergraduate music degree in Organ Performance from CASA, he then returned to UMSL and received a degree in Music Education and a Missouri state teaching certificate in Vocal and General Music. While pursuing his graduate degree in Organ Performance from Webster University, Jack studied with William Partridge at Christ Church Cathedral and then continued his teaching and music career.

Jack has given organ concerts throughout the area, at St. Alphonsus “Rock” Church, Christ Church Cathedral and the dedication organ recital on the Wicks Organ at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in St. Louis. He has played the piano for several functions of the St. Louis chapter of the Polish Cultural Society.  He was the organist at Jennings Presbyterian Church in Jennings, Mo, and the organist and choir director at New Providence Presbyterian Church in Moline Acres before coming to Hamilton Christian Church.  He has taught music in the Archdiocese of St. Louis, at Chesterfield Day School, St. Albans and is currently teaching at The Fulton School at St. Albans. He has been active with the UMSL chorus for 25 years and has been the accompanist for the chorus during seven of its European concert tours.

Jack is currently Director of Music at Hamilton Christian Church and is responsible for directing the Chancel Choir, Instrumental Ensembles, Jazz Ensemble, and playing the organ and piano for the Sunday Church service and arranging music for those groups and the four contemporary services held yearly at the church. 

Jack lives with his elderly parents in St. Peters, Mo. and enjoys relaxing at home.

Linda Zappe ~ Office Administrator

Linda Zappe, our new office administrator, is married to Tom Zappe and share their house with 2 spoiled kitties, Roscoe and Leonard.  They all live in Olivette.  Tom is a jazz musician.  Linda also is the Music Director for All Saints Catholic Church in University City.  She directs the Sunday choir and a newly developed Bell Choir.  She is also a member of St. Richard’s Parish, (our neighbor), and is a regular cantor there.  She has over 20 years experience in liturgical music.  Also, the past five years she has worked for Pastoral Solutions in Ellisville as a Church Representative traveling in the midwest covering a 5 state territory where she met with church secretaries, business managers and pastors promoting the weekly bulletins for churches. She has recently had experience as secretary at Our Lady of the Pillar Church on Lindbergh. 
 
Her hobbies are drawing with colored pencils, painting, singing, playing piano and organ, making custom fashion jewelry, going to band gigs with her husband, playing in the flower garden at home, swimming at the “J”,  visiting Goodwill stores and having dinner with friends. She is also a published illustrator of children’s books. Come by the Hamilton office from 9:00 am. to 3:30 p.m any day and say HI
